One of the most spectacular and least known sites in all of Brazil is the stunning red rock escarpment and vast savannah of Piaui - South America's answer to Africa's Great Rift Valley.
The Piaui Wildlife Center is the best place in the world to see Maned Wolves up close and massive flocks of Hyacinth Macaws - the biggest of all macaws - set against the escarpment. Best of all, you will be introduced to the Einstein monkeys, capuchin monkeys the Center discovered who have created some of the most sophisticated tool using techniques among all primates.
